You know it�is time to lose weight when your belly hangs over your underpants. Now picture that. Don't you think that would be enough to make anyone think about a life style change? Well today is the day. I know I was going to start January 1st, but I had to think about it for awhile longer.

I think in order for you to really start to make a lifestyle change you must be in the right mind set. I remember when I quit smoking. I knew it was bad for me. My husband wanted me to quit. It was expensive. It made my clothes and the house stink. But I was not ready to quit and until I made up my mind that it was time to quit I knew I would never be successful in giving up that nasty, filthy, disgusting habit. One day I woke up and decided�that today is the day. I was ready. I never had a cigarette after that day. Not even did I sneak one.

Now I am not going to tell you that was easy. That was probably the hardest thing that I have ever done in my whole like. What an addition!! BUT... I did it. Now the thought of smoking is so repulsive to me. I can't imagine ever smoking.

But I had made up my mind that I was going to change my life style... and I did. One of the best days of my life, March 13, 1981. It is indeed a red letter day.

Well, today is the day that I am going to change my lifestyle. You have to admit that sounds a whole lot better than starting a diet. That is what this blog will be about. Changing our lifestyle. I am 54 I want to live to a ripe old age. But more important than that I want to live�to the ripe old age and he healthy. The golden years, I want to enjoy them. I have decided that I better start making a few lifestyle changes NOW so I will be able to do that.

This blog will be about health and wellness. We will talk about diet and exercise as well as taking vitamin supplements. I'll put info in here about things related to healthy living. Who knows what else I can find. Won't you join me in making some lifestyle changes in your life too?
